After reading the critique by  , i wanted to try to re due this picture so...yeah.... this is what it turned out looking like after trying her advice. This one took me a lot longer cause each character had there own layer and lines where separate to. i figured out how to actually used the lines thing and stuff like that XD lol  OMG!! JADE DRAGON PICTURE!!! 8DDDD lol  I finally got to the guts to put this up so...yeah... XD lol These are the five main character of my book. (and sorry forthe watermarks but i want to be safe) From right to left: Megumi Shimizu (Monkey), Akira Yamashita (Rat), Kaida Suzuki (Dragon), Haruki Nagasaki (Boar), and Yuki Watanabe (Tiger). I am going to make a journal with all of their "stats" and personality trait and extra info stuff! If anyone ever sees my art recreated or stolen, please tell me immediately! I take pride in my work and i dont want it stolen.  I prefer this one. It's more vivid and the lines are clearer. The darker shadows make things look more 3D. Kudos to you, well done!
 -- < insert clever and witty signature >  hi! yeah I totally agree, It's more vivid and I can define shades now, painting white pixels really helped a lot.
I see you're new to photoshop, Some tips that can help your images look better: if you don't have a tablet try practicing with the pen tool for the lineart, it will make your pics much more clearer and the lines less shivery, making them a bit thinner also gives it a more serious look and less cartoonish, but that depends on tastes it's up to you. Something I do for practice is to look for a pic I like and trace it totally from lineart to shades and effects trying to position everything the most exact I can, That helps me learn shade positioning, color scheme selection and lots of more things and when I go to my original pic I apply all those things, I'm not the super artist but I might say that, that has helped me improve a lot since last year. but remember don't ever show those to anyone or claim them as yours just because you traced them they're just practice. and well that's all for now sorry it was so long T_T, but if you need any help just ask  -- "  signature " Ok thanks ^_^ I think I'll combine the bold colors of this one with the soft shading of the other. That I would really like!
